AUDIO SETTINGS FT 2000 IN COMBINATION WITH EQPLUS ( W2IHY )

This is my latest Audio Setup for the Yaesu FT2000

After a lot of experiments with different microphones ( heil, shure 444, turner, peiker ), I found finally the best solution to make the FT 2000 sounding the way it must be.

First of all I bought the W2IHY 8 band Equalizer plus EQplus, this in combination with the Apex215 Dual Ribbon Mic, for sure a perfect combination, the speech processor of the FT2000 you don't need anymore. A other point is the settings in your FT2000. For my voice the following settings are the best.

MENU: 85 = 3000 or TTBF

MENU 125=100, 126=10, 127=2, 128=800, 129=3, 130=3, 131=2100, 132=8, 133=1

8 Band settings are:

50=+6, 100=+4, 200=0, 400=-4, 800=-6, 1600=+2, 2400=+4, 3200=+7

EQPLUS settings are:

BASS=10, TREBLE=2, COMP/DOWN=ON, COMP=12, DE LEVEL=12, MIC INPUT=200, MICPOWER=OFF, GAIN=7, EFFECTS=OFF
